Were you surprised when you found out Hippos were one of the worlds most dangerous animals?

I was surprised when I first heard it, but not as surprised as when I learned that the cute panda actually has carnivorous tendencies - I saw rare footage of one ripping apart a chicken. There's a lot about animals' natures that we don't fully understand.
