Gunsmiths: Can I covert my Rem.700 from an internal mag to a detachable mag.. .read on?

My model is a 3 round internal magazine in .300WinMag Caliber. It has no floor-plate... it is "blind," (no floor-plate.). My question is: If I get this clip converter ( a href="http://www.cabelas.com/p-0024317226539a.shtml" rel="nofollow"http://www.cabelas.com/p-0024317226539a.…/a ) do I also still need to buy a new stock that has a floor plate or entry place to accept the detachable mag? Just curious... thanks.
