Is 'Autumn in New York' the worst film ever?

Richard Gere takes Winona Rider, (his much younger terminally-ill girlfriend), to a Halloween Party and bangs some other ex-girlfriend on the roof of where the party is at. Winona finds out about this and takes him back despite the fact he showed no remorse for his senseless action. I can't fathom anyone being so ridiculous or why the writers felt it neccessary to add in such morally objectionable behavior portrayed by Gere's character. This movie is pathetic.
