Does the rise of the Tea Party Members Illustrate how weak the Republican Party is?

I am still mythed at how the Tea Party Group has managed to manipulate the political schema. This so call group has elevated itself to a stature higher than the GOP. Does there rise illustrate the weaknesses of the GOP. This group has no real political structure and yet they have the audacity to respond to the State of the Union address. This is a sham and should not be allowed furthermore we as Americans should not let the angry republicans make a mockery of our government just because they cant stand behind a black president. The independents have never been given a national stage and they have been around for years.
