Aftermarket camshaft, valve springs worth it?

I used comp cam and springs retainers and custom push rods. It really does make a difference. more flow made boost pressure was less so I could run a smaller pulley. I just ported out the stock heads and exhaust manifolds and ran a high flow cat converter Borla exhaust. Headers would have dropped the boost even more. S ported Eaton Magnussion supercharger with key way. 12 psi was good for almost 300 front wheel hp with larger injectors high/flow fuel pump. Trans and engine oil coolers were needed for Texas. 1997 GTP was good for 13.8 second 1/4 mile runs on street tires Sold that car may of 2006 with 160,000 miles on it. 3 transmission changes and two engines were replaced. I autocrossed and drove often on the race track.
